Visited the town of Beaufort, SC today. It was chartered in 1711 and is the second-oldest city in South Carolina, behind Charleston. It was named the "Best Small Southern Town" by Southern Living Magazine. The houses in the town are beautiful and some are still around from the Civil War Era. We also went to Hunting Island State Park. It was listed in 2013 as a Top 25 beach in the United States by TripAdvisor. The camp ground is a place I'm sure we will try to stay at in the future, although the park ranger told us they have a 11 month reservation list. Tomorrow we leave for Myrtle Beach.
